Do I need special equipment and/or software to participate? No. You will need a computer with Internet access. (If uploading drawings, a DSL connection is recommended.) Whatever current programs you are using, files can be packaged in Zip files and uploaded to My Design Build Project. Whether you use Excel spreadsheets for estimating, Word documents for contracts or Chief Architect or AutoCad drawings, they can be uploaded to the site and downloaded by team members. Is it safe? Yes. The network is secure and password protected for all members who wish to view information. Furthermore, owners have control to limit access for those members who have ability to enter information. The company owner determines the level of access and information each individual team member is privileged to access.
